Pathway Academy is now accepting enrollment applications for the 2026–2027 school year through the ASCENDER ParentPortal.

Returning Students
Returning students will receive a ParentPortal ID by postal mail along with their final report card. This ID is required to complete the re-enrollment process.

Enrollment Criteria
Pathway Academy is an open-enrollment public charter school serving students in grades 7–11 for the 2026–2027 school year. Admission is open to all eligible students residing in the State of Texas and is not based on academic performance, athletic ability, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or national origin.

To enroll, families must complete the enrollment application and provide all required documentation, which may include:

Student birth certificate

Immunization records
-
Proof of residency
-
Parent/guardian identification
-
Previous school records (if applicable)

Enrollment is subject to grade-level availability and completion of all required registration documents.
Students may be denied admission only for reasons permitted under Texas law and the school's charter, including but not limited to:

Expulsion from another school for specific offenses permitted by law

Submission of false or misleading enrollment information

Failure to meet age or grade eligibility requirements

Pathway Academy does not charge tuition.

Lottery Information
Pathway Academy accepts enrollment applications throughout the enrollment period. If the number of eligible applicants exceeds the number of available seats in a grade level, a random lottery will be conducted in accordance with Texas Education Code and the school's charter requirements.
How the Lottery Works

Each eligible applicant receives an equal opportunity for selection.

The lottery is conducted using a random selection process.

Applications received during the open enrollment period are included in the lottery for that grade level if demand exceeds available seats.

Families will be notified of the lottery date, time, and procedures if a lottery becomes necessary.
Waitlist Information
Applicants not selected through the lottery will be placed on a waitlist in the order determined by the lottery process. As seats become available, students will be offered admission from the waitlist.
Sibling Preference
Pathway Academy may provide enrollment preference for siblings of currently enrolled students, as permitted by state law and the school's charter. Any applicable preferences will be applied before conducting the lottery.
Notification of Results
Families will be notified of lottery results and offered enrollment opportunities as seats become available.
